So the trailer for the seventh season of Nu-Who has spun itself online. Overall, it looks like largely more of the same thing we’ve had from Steven Moffat’s last two seasons, which is fine with me. Although, that said, the trailer does lack a mysterious hook. Hmmm. Some have complained that his era is becoming too mythology heavy, but I’d rather that than have filler-ish monster-of-the-week episodes. Anyway, the new season should be with us in the Autumn.

If by “mythology heavy” you mean the accumulated cannon of Doctor Who then I can’t get enough of it. Seeing such a huge number of Daleks on thescreen at once concerns me a little though: I nearly lost it with RTD’s “ultimate-end-of-the-universe” overblown spectaculars.
Not so much the accumulated canon, more the ongoing arc of the season. Season 5 had the cracks in time and that was fine with most people, but there were lots of online complaints that Season 6 was too myth-heavy (who is River, how will the Doctor die etc). I didn’t feel that way.
Absolutely with you on that – they lost any sense of threat very quickly that way.
Can’t wait, can’t complain. Doctor Who is amazing. The end. Woo.
Agree, well, when it comes to the Moffat era. Loving Matt Smith too.
